Death Angel brought the Ultra-Violence back home with an intimate headlining show at the New Parish in Oakland. Last time they passed through town, it was a 30 minute set supporting Anthrax and Testament. As frontman Mark Osegueda aptly pointed out early on, 30 minutes is a warm up for Death Angel.
Mark was not kidding around … after busting through all of The Ultra-Violence, the band showed no signs of letting up as they picked off songs from the rest of their catalog including classics off of Relentless Retribution, some rarities off of Frolic Through the Park and even a few covers. All-in-all a 2 hour blast that had the New Parish at times feeling like the Thunderdome with 3 sides of the stage and a wrap-around balcony all rocking along.

Really nice shots!!! You have a typo there: deal instead of death.
Thanks Al! And got that pesky typo fixed … not sure how that slipped by me!
