Death Angel brought the Ultra-Violence back home with an intimate headlining show at the New Parish in Oakland. Last time they passed through town, it was a 30 minute set supporting Anthrax and Testament. As frontman Mark Osegueda aptly pointed out early on, 30 minutes is a warm up for Death Angel.
Mark was not kidding around … after busting through all of The Ultra-Violence, the band showed no signs of letting up as they picked off songs from the rest of their catalog including classics off of Relentless Retribution
, some rarities off of Frolic Through the Park
and even a few covers. All-in-all a 2 hour blast that had the New Parish at times feeling like the Thunderdome with 3 sides of the stage and a wrap-around balcony all rocking along.

Really nice shots!!! You have a typo there: deal instead of death.
Thanks Al! And got that pesky typo fixed … not sure how that slipped by me!
